This Weekend: Fountain Art Fair
The Fountain Art Fair kicked off last night at the Armory on Lexington Avenue, as part of the wider Armory week (which we discussed earlier this week, and is also well worth a visit). The Fountain brings together contemporary and unique art installations and concepts in a space that was once the home of the Armory show itself.
Part baby-brother, part love-child and part rebellious teen offspring of the larger and more mainstream Armory show, the Fountain promises to be an unmissable feature of this year’s Armory-inspired art events. While there are a number of artists ‘headlining’ the event, part of the draw of the Fountain is that the average visitor will not have head of the vast majority of exhibitors. Hailing from all over the world, the art on show this weekend is guaranteed to be innovative, edgy and inspiring. Don’t miss it.
The Fountain Art Fair is on from today until Sunday at the 69th Regiment Armory (25th / Lex). Day ($10) and weekend ($15) passes available on the door. For more information, visit http://www.fountainartfair.com.
